Did you know that Dramedy was a word? Neither did I, until I visited scifi.com and read the news post of Oct. 5 2006 about a show they had called Eureka. The sci-fi channel is classifying Eureka as a dramedy, my guess, derived from drama and comedy. I guess the desired effect is to show that the show is a drama (which in the series lingo means a show about characters) that is also some of the times a comedy…

Poor choice of words… as the show is really a nice one, and a little humor in a show about people doesn’t turn it into a comedy, it just makes it human, and therefore, a better show.

Well, what do I know… someone thought it was very clever to call a show a dramedy, but I’d sooner shoot myself than use such a term!
