It has been a busy period since my last post.
Between the coursework I had to deliver for university, reading for some tests and getting ready to leave for Christmas vacation (I’m from Greece), and finally trying to do my own theme for the blog (which I can still not manage fully, it is as if I am missing some foundation knowledge that will allow me to understand why the heck I cannot get my floats where I want them) I had my hands full.
So for now the classic theme will remain, it is the one I like the most for various reasons:
- low graphical demands on the bandwidth
- full coverage of the browser window no matter the resolution
- enough useful information about every post and comment (some themes forgo various info, like dates, or poster etc.)
- nice segmentation of individual posts, marking them clearly
All those things are available only to the classing theme afaik.
Right now I am looking forward to spending some time in my home country with friends and family. And because of the nature of the blogs I can say that I will be updating the blog from Greece, something I couldn’t do before since I needed my local files to change anything, including ftp setting for uploading the files and the apps I use to modify pages and graphics. All that is in the past now, thanks to the blog platforms! Amazing… it will take some time before the awe of the blog technology has left me!
